This page contains the consent statement a parent or legal guardian accepts in the Faby app. The app currently asks for consent for the voice cloning feature; from the next app version, it will also ask for consent based on this text before a child's data is sent to AI providers.

Who gives consent?
Consent is given by the parent or legal guardian over 18 who opens the Faby account. For voice cloning, the adult who records the voice also consents for their own voice; do not record another adult's voice without their permission.
1. Processing the child profile and story inputs
I consent to the processing of the name, story age band, gender and appearance description (skin, hair and eye colour, clothes, etc.) in the child (character) profile I create in Faby, and of the free text I write for stories (names, themes, lessons; max. 200 characters), in order to create personalised story text, illustrations and narration, and to store the stories in my account and show them to me.
2. Transfer to AI providers abroad
I consent to the transfer of the information above, and of the photo, drawing and voice data I optionally approve below, to the following service providers in the United States for the purpose of creating stories:

I have been informed that these countries may not have data protection rules equivalent to those in Turkey or the EU.
3. Dress by photo (optional)
Potentially sensitive data: photos showing a face may be treated as biometric or special-category data in some legal systems.
I consent to the photo I upload being analysed once by OpenAI to suggest the character's appearance (gender, age category, hair, eye and skin colour). I understand that the photo is deleted right after the analysis and that the analysis result is kept with my account.
4. Drawings (optional)
I consent to the drawings I upload to the Drawing Atelier being analysed by OpenAI and kept, to be shown on my bookshelf, until I delete my account.
5. Voice recording and voice clone (optional)
Potentially sensitive data: voice recordings and voice clones may be treated as biometric or special-category data in some legal systems.
I consent to the voice sample of at least 60 seconds that I record in my own voice being stored, sent to Replicate (XTTS model) to narrate stories in that voice, and used to create a voice clone. I understand that the voice sample and the clone are kept until I delete my account.
Nature of consent and withdrawal
- Giving consent is entirely voluntary. Without consent to items 1 and 2, the personalised story feature may not be available. Items 3, 4 and 5 are optional features approved separately; not consenting to them does not stop you from creating stories.
- You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (Profile → Account Actions → Delete Account) or by writing to info@yelkovan.ai. You can ask by email for a specific type of data (e.g. a voice sample or drawings) to be deleted.
- Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. Data already sent to providers before the withdrawal is subject to the providers' own retention terms.
