1. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY (COPPA & GDPR-K)
We take children's privacy very seriously.
- Target Audience: Faby is designed for children but is intended to be set up and managed by parents or legal guardians.
- No Personal Information from Children: We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information (PII) like real names, addresses, or phone numbers directly from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your region) without verified parental consent.
- Parental Control: Registration and subscription management are behind a "Parental Gate" to ensure they are performed by an adult.
- No Behavioral Advertising: We do not serve targeted behavioral advertising to users identified as children.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
A. Information You Provide to Us (Parent/Guardian)
- Account Information: If you create an account, we may collect your email address and a password.
- Profile Data: You may create profiles for your children (e.g., a nickname or age group) to personalize the story generation. We recommend using nicknames rather than real full names.
- User Content: Data you input to generate stories (e.g., "A story about a brave cat") and drawings created using the in-app drawing tools.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Information about how you use the App, such as which stories are read, puzzles completed, and library decorations used.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers (e.g., IDFV for iOS), used solely for app functionality and analytics, not for tracking across other apps.
- Technical Data: IP address (masked where possible) and crash logs to help us fix bugs.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To generate AI stories, enable text-to-speech features, and save your library progress.
- AI Processing: The text prompts and parameters you select (e.g., "Space adventure," "Age 6") are sent to our AI providers to generate the content.
- Improvement: To analyze user behavior (anonymously) to improve the story quality and app features.
- Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries or technical issues.
4. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) & DATA SHARING
Faby uses third-party AI technologies (e.g., OpenAI) to generate text and images.
- Input Processing: When you request a story, the prompt data is transmitted to the AI provider.
- Anonymization: We do not send your personal contact information (email, payment info) to the AI provider. Only the story parameters are shared to generate the response.
- No Training on User Data: We do not use your children's personal stories to train public AI models unless explicitly stated and consented to.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We may share data with trusted third-party service providers to help us operate the App. These include:
- Cloud Storage: (e.g., Firebase, AWS) To store your created stories, drawings, and library progress securely.
- Analytics: (e.g., Google Firebase Analytics) To understand app usage. We configure these services to restrict data collection for child-directed apps.
- Payment Processors: (Apple App Store / Google Play Store) We do not process or store your credit card information directly. All transactions are handled by the respective app stores.
6. DATA SECURITY
We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. This includes encryption of data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
- Retention: We retain your account data and story history as long as your account is active.
- Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data. You can do this via the "Delete Account" option within the App settings or by emailing us. Once deleted, your library and stories cannot be recovered.
8. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access and delete your data. We do not "sell" your personal information as defined by the CCPA.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
